State of the Arts: Plein Air Painting – Waldomore Lawn

About this event

Body

Plein Air is French for “Open Air” and is the technique of going outside to paint/draw the outdoors in its natural lighting, often in a quick impressionist style. This was pioneered by the Impressionist masters like Claude Monet who wanted to accurately capture light and color how it appeared naturally. Let’s try and emulate the plein air masters in doing some outdoor painting while relaxing on the lawns of the beautiful and historical Waldomore. (In case of inclement weather, program will be moved indoors.)

Ages 11+ event. All materials provided but everyone is welcome to bring their own supplies. Please sign up below to reserve a spot.
