World Space Week is an annual holiday observed from October 4 - 10 in over 95 countries around the world. It is officially defined as "an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition"
This year, we are partnering with NASA and Fairmont State University to bring you the Star Lab Planetarium and Kindernauts Kit. Explore the cosmos and learn about planets, constellations, asteroids, and more in the Star Lab. Stop by anytime or join us for these fun activities:
Friday, October 6, 4:30 - 8: First Friday "Fly Into Fall" featuring Star Lab at the Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library. Also, check out Trunk-or-Treat at Jackson Square and the annual pet parade through downtown Clarksburg.
Saturday, October 7, 1 - 3: Children ages 0 - 10 can join Ms. Erica and the Cat in the Hat for story time in the Star Lab and a fun space-themed craft.
Monday, October 9, 4 - 6: Eat Like an Astronaut! Sample delicious freeze-dried ice cream and explore the Milky Way in the Star Lab.
Tuesday, October 10, 6 - 8: Scary Stories in the Star Lab. Bring your most haunting, horror-driven, scream worthy stories and compete with others for the title of Spookiest Storyteller.
Thursday, October 12, 4 - 6: Learn to navigate the stars by creating your own Planisphere and Star Finder!
Thursday, October 12, 6 - 8: Sit back, relax, and join us for Star Lab movie night!
