Back to School Bash Is Back!

This year's Back to School Bash is bigger than ever!  

Backpacks, school supplies, community resources, eye screenings, and more!

Join us on First Fridays, for a day of celebrating Back to School through community, connection, and care! 

This event will be held Friday, August 5 from 4:30 pm - 8 pm on the Library Lawn (back of library).  If bad weather, event will be moved inside the library. 

First 200 to attend ages 4-18 will receive a free backpack and school supplies.  You do not need to register for this event.

Enjoy connecting with several local organizations that will be providing great resources and freebies for parents and students from 4:30 pm - 8 pm as well:

  • Lions Club: free eye screenings pre-school through 6th grade
  • WV Prevention Solutions 
  • Choices Women’s Center 
  • Literacy Volunteers 
  • Head Start
  • Parent Education Resource Center 
  • Healthy Grandfamilies 

Library Access Update

Due to a roof leak, the library building is currently closed to walk-in visitors. However, we remain open during our normal hours for the following scheduled services: • Quick Pickup • Notary • Passport • Copying • Faxing We are also continuing to provide outreach services during this time.
