Poetry Slam!

Use Your Voice and Raise Awareness!

A poetry slam is a contest in which poets read or recite their poems, which are then judged by a panel. The poems can range from traditional to hip-hop in style; they can be delivered straight or in a theatrical manner. But one thing is certain: All who come will be wowed and moved.

All ages are invited to share original work or read/recite a favorite piece during this two-hour event. Poetry activities and exercises will be provided. Registration is for attendance of event; registering to read/recite will occur at event.

Ages 11+. Program held on second floor of the library.
