Coding Unplugged at the library

Use Coding arrows to find an item in the library

Materials are all provided

Each child will be given a clipboard with a list of items. They will also be given arrows. 

Each participant will use the library catalog to find a call number of each item given. The child will write down the call number next to each title. 

Each participant will stand behind the masking tape of the first item listed and begin placing an arrow on the ground, facing the appropriate direction for each step they take. Continue doing this until they have reached the item. 

Once the item has been located, return to the piece of masking tape and write down the arrows needed to get to the location on the lines provided on your printout. Each individual arrow should be written next to each other.
