Friends of Clarksburg Public Library

The Friends of the Clarksburg Library make it possible for Yolo County to have a Branch Library in Clarksburg. The Friends provide and maintain the building which houses the Library. They pay for additional hours of operation and volunteer countless hours of staffing time. They purchase books, magazines and periodicals, computer programs and Spanish language materials. The Friends also provide an Activity Room for community meetings and functions.

The Clarksburg Library is the nerve center of this community. It provides a place for learning, literacy and enrichment. It is the place where local residents go to access information about County programs.

The Friends of the Clarksburg Library is one of the most important and successful grassroots organizations in the region. Without them the town of Clarksburg would suffer. With your support, the Friends can continue to provide this valuable service to the community.

Continue Your Support!

Each summer we solicit your support in helping to keep library services available within our local community. As Clarksburg residents, we are all members of the Friends of the Clarksburg Library. We have an elected Board of Directors that meets monthly to conduct ongoing business, keeping our Library open and operational. There is an annual community meeting (in February) to update everyone on the business of the past year, review financial status, and hear an entertaining quest speaker (with refreshments!). You are welcome to attend and participate in these meetings. As you know, FOCL owns the Library Building. We have added handicap access via the rear of the building, replaced the roof on the entire building, and are continually addressing maintenance issues.

Send an enclosed envelope with your check, made payable to: Friends of Clarksburg Library or donate online by using the PayPal "Donate" button below. Your generous contribution is tax deductible.



Please send your donation promptly, so we can include your name with appreciation on our Supporter Recognition Letter, which will be mailed to all Clarksburg residents. Also, tell us how you would like your name listed (individual, couple, family, alias, anonymous, other.)

Wed - 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Thur - 9:30 a.m. to Noon; 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Sat - 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
